Captain Ben and his deckhand Ryan were outstanding from start to finish. We booked a half-day trip and were on fish right away. Ryan stayed busy the entire time—keeping hooks baited, offering helpful tips, and making sure every catch made it to the cooler. We were getting bites almost as soon as our lines hit the water. Captain Ben stayed in touch before the trip, set clear expectations on what we’d be targeting, and kept things both informative and easygoing on the water. The boat is clean, spacious, and well set up for a group of five. It was comfortable throughout the trip, and having a bathroom on board made a big difference. We’ll definitely be back.

Fun day! Our boys loved catching sharks and experiencing fishing for bigger fish. The captain kept an eye on the weather but we lucked out and had no rain just clouds which helped stay cool in August. The first mate was great. The boat was fun to ride on and the fishing fun.

Captain Ben and Deckhand Peyton were great. Very personable and they put us fish. Right from the get go, we were hooking fish. It was awesome. My wife, son, and dad all loved it. PS The fish dinner that evening was awesome!

We were hoping to target redfish, so we asked Captain Ben to start there and have a backup plan closer to shore if needed. After an early stretch with a few mackerel, he made the right move and put us on redfish. The action picked up fast—lines were getting hit one after another, and we landed two solid redfish along with a jack before it slowed down. Once the bite tapered off, Captain Ben adjusted again and took us toward the jetties and marina areas. That paid off with speckled trout and a nice flounder to round out the day. It was clear right away that Captain Ben knows what he’s doing. He ran the boat smoothly, kept things organized, and made smart decisions throughout the trip. His mate, though young, handled everything with confidence and skill, keeping us fishing and taken care of the whole time. Overall, it was a great day on the water. We had steady action, caught a nice mix of fish, and enjoyed every minute. I’d highly recommend Captain Ben’s Charters and look forward to getting back out there again.

Captain Ben was excellent from the start. He called a few days before the trip to learn about our group’s experience level, which meant a lot—especially since our wives are new to fishing. Before we left the dock, he walked them through the gear, explained what to expect, and made sure everyone felt comfortable. We hit our redfish limit within the first hour, then spent the rest of the trip targeting flounder and sand trout, which kept the action going. I’ve been on more than a dozen charters, and Captain Ben’s customer service is easily among the best.

OUTSTANDING. Captain Ben and his First Mate Ryan are great. They wanted to make sure that we found and got fish and they delivered. Honestly you would be crazy to use anyone else. They are docked right in front for easy access. They are very friendly with a great sense of humor. Their main concern is the customer. We had so much fun.
